Job Description:
1. Coordinates the assigned projects to ensure that the projects are completed on schedule, within financial budget and are executed to customer’s satisfaction.
2. Provides the weekly progress update to customers for the new projects assigned, coordinates the conference call with customer when required.
3. Proactively communicate with tool design & manufacturing, quality, Production, PMC and as well as commercial team to keep assigned projects moving forward smoothly.
4. Coordinates the DFM and tool design review meetings to ensure proper company-wide attendance, adherence to company tooling standards, documentation control, and coordination of follow-up activities.
5. Coordinates, reviews, executes, and summarizes validation protocols &report (IQOQPQ) for healthcare application and PPAP documents for automotive application.
6. Manage the tooling suppliers to ensure that the outsourced tools can exactly meet GW tool standard. Regularly visit the suppliers to witness the tool manufacturing and tool trial.
7. Maintains the ERP system, IE standard, Packaging Specification to ensure all the engineering data are up-to-date.
8. Manage the customer engineering change to ensure that the drawing update, inventory, tooling change and re-qualification, quality documents, production are well communicated and controlled.
9. Witness project mold trials, automation, robot and secondary operation development personally and work closely with the team involved with developing these processes. Personally do simple quality checks on product after every mold trial. Review quality reports carefully to find flyers and data that do not make sense and analyze the results in search of a root cause.
Qualification:
1. College or above educated, majored in mechanical or engineering is preferred.
2. Precision Tooling or Molding background, strong technical capabilities is preferred.
3. Good understanding to metrology and quality engineering such as Cpk, MSA, FMEA, SPC.
4. Good understanding to customer product drawing and other technical specifications.
5. Rich experiences in project management of tooling, molding, assembly and contract manufacturing.
6. Experience of working with Western customers is required. Good understanding to the culture and working style of western company.
7. Excellent communication skills and “customer focus” philosophy.
8. Strong management and analyzing capability to solve problem.
9. Good management skills to outside tooling suppliers.
10. Good English capabilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
